Mayfair Rest Home provides professional care of the elderly in a friendly, quality environment which promotes individual freedom and security.

 

Mayfair is a warm, comfortable home with lots of opportunities to make new friends. Each room has its own ensuite. Phone socket connections are in every room. Full Nurse call, intercom, smoke detector and sprinkler systems are installed, and each room has its own reading lamp, wardrobe, bedside drawers, chair and of course a comfortable bed. Residents may bring their own furniture, pictures, photos, ornaments and other personal items to make their own room special.

 

There are four lounges at Mayfair, each with its own outlook. The main lounge faces north over our lovely courtyard garden. The lounges in each of the three wings are without TV for those who prefer to meet quietly with guests, or read a book.

Sheltered lawns and paths provide a safe, level area for strolling in the sunshine. For those wanting more exercise, the sealed driveway and footpaths on quiet streets nearby, provide further safe walking. There is a dedicated play area with play equipment for visitor’s children.

 

Mayfair has a modern kitchen that provides residents with high class nutritious meals and home baking for morning and afternoon teas. All tastes and special dietary needs are catered for.

 

The Settlers Gallery, located between the Rest Home and Studio and Apartment Units, is an area where activities take place, meetings held, special birthdays that families organize, and even weddings can be celebrated. The main rest home and studio appartment lounge both have large screen TV and Sky.
